SD"Christian" Pastors fund hate/teen Gay Murder-really :(

I write this with great sadness, disgust, and disappointment in the present state of our humanity in dealing with diversity and tolerance.

With the millions of HIV+ starving children in Africa, Female genital mutilation, public stoning, the war in Iraq, and illiteracy in the country this is what "stewards/messengers" of G_d do with their time? However, there always is a gift in the darkest of places.

San Diego Based “God’s Design for Marriage” Lead by pastors
Miles McPherson, pastor of the Rock Church in San Diego, and Jim Garlow, senior pastor of Skyline Church in La Mesa, are currently raising funds to put the Protect Marriage Amendment in front of congress. This is said to be a backlash to the Governor recently signing SB777, diversity education bill, that would require mandatory classes on diversity and tolerance for all students in CA schools.
Signed in the wake of the murder of a 15 year old gay student on February 12, 2008 at E.O Green School in Oxnard, CA. 15 year old Lawrence King was shot in the head IN CLASS by a fellow classmate. Other students say the 14 year old classmate was texting other students before he shot the victim at point blank.
175 SD area pastors, churches, and other "family advocate" groups are organizing around San Diego gathering signatures by misleading voters with "voteyesmarriage.com" signs and inadequate information.
Funny i always thought that the majority of Local Christian Churches were suppose to promote love, compassion, and acceptance NOT the intolerance and MURDER of a teen and other hate crimes around the country. Aren't they suppose to be doing what Jesus would do? Well what would he do? Certainly not raise funds to strip citizens of protection.

Just think what could be accomplished if they focused their energy on something productive, G_dly, and positive?
